SEDAR

The System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval (SEDAR) is a computer-based system that facilitates the electronic transmission, receipt, acceptance, review and public dissemination of certain disclosure documents required to be filed under the securities legislation of the provinces and territories of Canada. The SEDAR system eliminates the need for most paper-based filings and allows for the electronic payment of the required filing fees.

The SEDAR system officially became operational on January 1, 1997. SEDAR is an initiative of the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) and is administered by CDS INC., a subsidiary of the Canadian Depository for Securities Limited.
